Adoption Policies
- We do not release any animals for research.
- We try to place only healthy, good disposition animals.
- We require proper facilities before the adoption of animals.
- We require strict adherence to all laws and ordinances.
- We require that all pets receive proper veterinary care.
- We require that all pets be spayed or neutered.
- We do not allow adoptions of pets to minors.
- We do not allow anyone to adopt an animal for someone else.
- We do not place dogs to be used solely as guard or watch dogs
- We do not place dogs for the sole purpose of hunting.
- We do not adopt cats for the sole purpose of mousers or barn cats.
- We only adopt cats to reside indoors.
- We reserve the right to refuse the adoption of animals to anyone.

Out of County Adoption Fees
Same as in county fees except no spay/neuter voucher or free fet check up is given. You must get pet altered in your local area.
If Pure Bred or Pit Bull, we will alter prior to leaving and the adoption charge will be $100.
Adoption Requirements
- Any animal adopted from the shelter must be spayed or neutered within one month from adoption for adults and at six months of age for puppies/kittens.
- Breeding dogs/cats adopted from the shetler is strictly prohibited.
- If any Pit Bull or pure breed dog is adopted from the shelter, an adoption application is required. Upon approval and payment, the dog will be altered prior to being release due to the increased liklihood of these being bred.
- Rabies shots are also required within the same time frame of altering.
- You must send verification that the alteration and vacine back to the shelter. Copies are fine.
