History
The Marion-Grant County Humane Society has a long and proud history of leading the fight to end overpopulation and rescue, rehabilitate and place thousands of animals into loving homes. Founded in the 1960's, we are non-profit, charitable organization funded solely with donations from individuals, businesses and foundations.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of our Humane Society to encourage and embrace the human to animal bond through relief of pain and suffering in animals caused by injury, disease and neglect while providing for the welfare of animals with whatever services are needed to improve an animal's quality of life and enjoyment obtained by guardianship.
What We Can Do For You!
Spay and Neuter Clinic
A low-cost service provided for the public (located at 2225 Westwood Square, Marion) Check back often for clinic dates or sign up for our newsletter for up to the minute updates.
Rescues
Saving animals from euthanasia while placing them in temporary homes, often caring for the most needy, abused, or neglected cases. This is all done in an effort to produce an adoptable animal so they can find their forever home!
Education
We are here to educate the public on what makes a responsible pet owner including basic animal needs and care, proper pet handling and approach, kindness and responsibility, and of course: Spaying or Neutering your pets!
Fundraising
All of these rescues, clinics, and education programs come at a price. Your ongoing support will allow us the means we require to continue serving our neighbors in the Grant County area; of both the four and two-legged variety! If you are having problems with your animals please contact us, you may be surprised at what we can do without a shelter!
